An exciting new project aims to give African journalists a voice in the global media in the build-up to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Twenty Ten is a multidisciplinary media project that focuses on strengthening African journalists from the disciplines of writing, radio reporting and photography, and distributing their articles, images, broadcasts and multimedia productions to media across Africa and the world. 108 journalists from 34 African nations are attending workshops around the continent which coincide with qualifying matches for the tournament. 18 of them will be invited to South Africa to cover the event on the ground during June and July 2010.
